In heartfelt recognition of a lifetime devoted to the preservation and restoration of our planet, the Rotary Xperience Team proudly dedicates a forest in Finland to Mr. Trammell S. Crow. This living tribute honors his unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship and celebrates his fifteen years of visionary leadership and unstinting support of EarthX.
Through this forest—rooted in gratitude and growing in hope—we honor not only his remarkable contributions but also the enduring inspiration he provides to all who strive for a more sustainable world. May these trees stand as a living testament to his profound impact, reminding future generations of the power of one individual’s dedication to nurture and protect the Earth.

Why Afforestation?
Why Now?
The fight against climate change is a daunting challenge that can often feel impossible to win. Yet, all great journeys begin with small, consistent actions. Humanity has succeeded before: 40 years ago, people united to protect the ozone layer by banning harmful chemicals and gases — and today, we’re seeing the positive results of those decisions.
Now, we have come together to prove that it’s also possible to win the fight against global warming by taking concrete action today. Our solution: creating real forests that make a real impact.
Why Carboreal?
Carboreal specializes in biological carbon sequestration projects in Finland.
Peatlands store a large portion of the Earth’s carbon, but when they degrade, they release CO₂ back into the atmosphere. Afforestation reverses that process — rebuilding biodiversity and creating a lasting climate impact for generations to come.
Introducing EarthX Forest .
Projects are ISO 14064-2 certified by Kiwa Inspecta, ensuring quality, transparency, and permanence.
Registered in Finland’s property registry with legally binding 70+ year protection.
Methodology based on Finnish scientific research, field data, and historical records.
Calculations consider soil type, temperature, precipitation, groundwater, and natural risks such as fire and insects.
Background:
- The site is a peat-based field originally deforested in the 1970s for agriculture.
- As farming has since centralized elsewhere, these lands have lost their economic demand.
- Peat-based fields make up 10% of Finland’s farmland but produce 50% of its agricultural CO₂ emissions.
Impact:
- Converting peat fields into forests helps farmers repurpose land, reduces emissions, and restores biodiversity — a win-win-win.
- Over 13,000 tons of CO₂ will be removed through the afforestation of 50+ acres of peat fields.
